Most attorneys practice in an outdated model that is no longer relevant or appealing to their clients. That’s not the kind of attorney I want to be and it’s not the kind of attorney I am.

My Philosophy

Being an attorney has long been my dream. When I graduated from law school and began practicing law, I was surprised that so many lawyers in the industry had been practicing law in much the same way as they had for decades.

We had new technology, new sources of information, and yet the way they handled themselves was the same that it’s always been.

People expect more today from their attorneys and yet, time and time again, I hear disappointment from potential clients who tell me of their experiences with their former legal counsel.

Attorneys are more than just advocates for their clients. They should be counselors on best courses of action, they should be educators who help clients understand the law, and they should be problem solvers who can examine the issue at hand and work out the best case scenario after reviewing potential strategies.

My areas of practice include:

  • Personal Injury
  • Employment Law
  • Social Security
  • Veteran’s Disability

Bar Membership

  • Alabama State Bar, 2009
  • Florida State Bar, 2010
  • Georgia State Bar, 2014

Community Involvement

  • Alabama Lawyers Association, Treasurer (2015-2016)
  • Alabama State Bar Volunteer Lawyers Program
  • Montgomery County Bar Association
  • Montgomery County Volunteer Lawyers Program
  • Capital City Bar Association, Treasurer (2015-2016)

I’ve spent my life in Montgomery. I know its people. I know its flavor. I attended Harrison and Brewbaker Primary & Intermediate Schools, Capitol Heights Jr. High School, and graduated valedictorian of Sidney Lanier High School.

I excelled in school and in sports. I know the type of hard work and dedication it takes to succeed and I devote that same mental strength to my clients every day. As a former member of the University of Alabama’s Women’s Track & Field team, I know what it’s like to get up after a setback, to gather your strength and return better and harder than ever before. My clients appreciate this attitude. Like a coach, I help see them through difficult times and we work as a team.

I began my legal career as an Associate at Thomas, Means, Gillis & Seay before becoming a Legislative Analyst for the Alabama Legislative Reference Service.  As a Legislative Analyst, I drafted legislation, conducted legal research and analysis on various issues, and provided legal advice and counsel to state legislators and state officials. While it was a great experience, and I was proud to be in such a coveted role, I felt very removed from the reason I went into law – to help people solve problems.

That’s when I realized that I wanted to reenter the private practice world. Still, I wouldn’t change that early experience. It was critical to my developing an exceptional ability to research, write, and analyze the law and I can put these talents to work for you.
